I am going to be Carmen Sandiego for Halloween. I bought the red trench coat this spring when it was on sale and I just need a red wide-brimmed hat. I've had this costume in mind since last year whenever I saw a red trench at Old Navy, and I remember thinking how cool it would be to pull that off.

I love Halloween, man. I love costumes, so naturally I like the idea of a day when you can wear one and people won't think you're crazy.

Random question: is it normal to have your arm still feel sore hours after getting a flu shot? I bucked up and got one today even though I hate getting shots. I figured that hey, it wouldn't hurt and I work with the public so the tingle wouldn't hurt that bad, right? But my left arm aches in this dull way right now.

Whoa, AWESOME ocstume idea! I wanna be a flapper, but I don't exactly have the confidence to wear a sexy dress. Also, I'm cheap as hell.

I think it's totally normal to have your arm still be sore. I've had shots before that hurt the day afterward!

Dude, my good friend [livejournal.com profile] jean_prouvaire has been Carmen several times and I think she said she's being her this year too. :D Excellent. Do take pics. I adore Halloween too.

And yes, I think it is kinda normal--I got a flu shot today too, actually, and I get one every year because my mother is a nurse and also a lunatic, so I'm pretty used to 'em, and my arm usually aches for about a day. But not too badly. I'm just glad I never, you know, feel flu-ish, since some people do. :P

I'm going to be Carmen San Diego too! I have a red trench coat that I legitimately wear and I've been stockpiling maps and 'treasure' for a few months now.

Don't go to the same party as me, ok?

I'm still deciding between Velma from "Scooby-Doo" and Patty Hearst. (I've been Patty Hearst before, but while I was mighty pleased with my cleverness, most people had no idea who I was.) I also want to be Officer Jenny from "Pokémon" at some point, but I'd like to go all out and dye my hair blue for that, which I don't have the time or money to do this year.

I have a friend who's going as Carmen Sandiego, too! I guess the generation that grew up watching her has come of age, huh?

Ohhh MAN! I MISSED Carmen Sandiego. Do it!

I don't do Halloween, but I will do a flapper outfit if I'm invited to a party. I pull off a mean cloche hat.
