So I'm studying for my Art of the West exam and one of the artists mentioned in this never-ending slide review is Alexander Calder, whose name I recognized when we brought him up in class. Why? Because I remember Claudia in the Baby-Sitters Club books making a reference to his mobiles.

Thank you, BSC, for ensuring that if Calder is brought up on my exam I will at least remember him.

(Also, why do I keep tasting copper whenever I cough, oh my God.)

Calder's sculptures are quite interesting. My favorite is in the lobby of the east building of the National Portrait Gallery in DC.
