what'cha gonna do? gonna live my life.
Apr. 14th, 2005 04:33 pmToday's theme: things you want to do before a set period of time, inspired by this blog.
My 50. Post the fifty things you want to accomplish in your lifetime.
101 Things to Do in 1001 Days.
The Top 100 Things I'd Do if I Were an Evil Overlord.
101 things to do if you're locked in a room for the next fifty years with only a mattress, a boombox, and a copy of Insision's new album.
3387 things to do before you die.
And from my own journal: Things I've done, things I want to do, plus three things I've done and two I want to do.
And one more list for the ages: Things I Want to Do Before I Turn Twenty-Five
1. learn how to make a full dinner.
2. go snowboarding.
3. learn how to kickbox.
4. get my teeth straightened.
Because, well, I don't mind my teeth most of the time, but really, I'd rather have them straight.
5. learn how to play an instrument.
6. bowl a perfect game.
7. go on a date.
8. go to 25 concerts.
9. go on a road trip.
A real road trip; just me, some friends, and the open road.
10. travel overseas.
I have never been off the continent. I'd give anything to go to another country.
11. ride a horse.
12. learn to tango.
13. learn enough French to have a conversation--and remember it.
14. write a novel and finish it.
A goal since I was seven. Seriously.
15. ride on a train.
16. go on a cruise.
17. learn how to swim.
18. try surfing.
19. swim with the dolphins.
20. see the new Seven World Wonders (I can't find the list anymore--gah).

27. try swing-dancing.
28. fall in love.
29. go to a Yankees game.
30. meet one of my celebrity crushes.
...and not make a fool of myself. So far, I've done okay meeting semi-famous people, yet I fear if I met, oh, Topher Grace I'd go mute or start foaming at the mouth. I doubt it'd happen, but, you never know.
31. donate a lot of money to a charity.
32. beat Ms. Pac Man.
I have come close. Very close.
33. go to Disney World.

37. drive a golf cart.
38. play spin-the-bottle.
39. play a long game of truth or dare.
Obviously, I never went to many parties. I've played truth or dare before, but short games in middle school. Ones where I didn't kiss the guy I had a mad, raving crush on.
40. see every episode of The Simpsons.
Once I read episode descriptions and actually COUNTED, and I think the number was 257 or something. I don't know how many I've seen now.
41. see a horror movie that really scares me.
42. go to Graceland.
Went to Memphis on a church trip two years ago, and we were practically up the street from Graceland. We didn't go. I was miffed.
43. go to the top of a lighthouse.
44. buy a Lava lamp.
45. learn how to do cornrows.
46. mentor a kid.
47. buy stocks.

55. get abs.
Because my stomach looks more like a very small keg rather than a six pack.
56. go sailing.
57. learn how to tap dance.
58. make a short film.
59. go to New York City.
60. learn how to play poker.

63. see a movie I like five times in theaters.
64. sing in front of an audience of more than 150 people, alone.

And, hopefully, by that time I'll be successful and look better than them... ah. Ahahaha.

68. go to a New Years' party.
69. build a sandcastle.

73. jump in puddles in the rain.
74. become a camp counselor.
75. get certified in first aid and CPR.
76. watch the sun rise.
77. learn how to knit.

Summer games, preferably, as to ogle the hot swimmers. And divers. And runners, and tennis players, and...
80. go to Hawaii.
Preferably while Lost is still in production. [wink]
